We pretended the weather was nice enough the other day to go to the park. It was pretty chilly but at least it was dry. Elliott rode in the park swing for the first time. He didn't seem particularly impressed. But that seems to be his personality -- Mr. Go With the Flow. Oliver was sweet and gentle as he pushed Elliott in the swing.

Priest Point Park
Standing around
Elliott pulled to a stand for the first time on March 20th -- two days before his 7 month birthday. He looks so funny! He's so short and fat, it cracks me up to see him standing there.
Easter
We took the boys to Lattin's Country Cider Mill the day before Easter for an egg hunt en-mass. It was crazy. There were 40,000 eggs and probably that many kids. Just kidding. But it was quite a turn out. In fact, there were so many people we lost track of the kids and couldn't even see them hunt for eggs! These were the only two photos I got. I was sick on Easter so there are no photos from that day.

Move Over, Arnold!
Scrappy, ain't he? I must admit, I wish I had those biceps! Of course, wishing has nothing to do with it. It's all those push-ups I make him do. (Mean ol' mom. Ha!)
An explanation on the haircut: As every kid does at some point, Oliver took the scissors to his own hair and chopped his bangs down to the nub. As punishment, I got out our old, cheap, half-rusted clippers and gave him a very time-consuming and quasi-painful burr haircut. This is the first time he's ever had his hair this short and well, there were tears. But I told him it was good baseball hair and he decided it was okay but that he'd never cut his own hair again.

Big Hamper Patrick
When discussing the Palapalooza entertainer, I recalled the guy's name to be Roberto. Oliver thought I was referring to the volunteers from the audience and said, "I thought he called them Big Hamper Patrick and Big Hamper Nathan." I looked at him with a puzzled expression and wondered what on earth...
And then I understood.
What Oliver heard was really, "Let's have a big hand for Patrick" and "Let's have a big hand for Nathan." BWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Little Baby, Big Baby
I only meant to take photos of Elliott this day because Oliver wasn't interested and Owen has a huge knot on his head (see the Palapalooza post). But Owen jumped on in and I ended up with some really sweet ones.
Hangin' in his crib...

When Puzzles Are Too Easy
Who needs new puzzles when you can flip them over and create a whole new challenge for yourself? Not only did Oliver complete this puzzle with the wrong-side up, but he did it with a piece missing! And he did it totally for his own enjoyment and satisfaction. There was no, "Hey, come and see what I'm doing!" Brian just walked by and noticed Oliver deep in concentration.

Twanoh State Park
We met our friends, the Gills, at Twanoh today for a picnic and hike. The picnic was great but the hike was thwarted. The trail was closed due to flood damage. Bummer! We made the most of it though, hung out by the water and had a good time anyway.
