December Happenings Prior to Christmas

Random photo I took of Elliott. Ain't he sweet?

The five of us went to the Festival of Trees Linda puts on for Providence Hospital in Centralia every year. (I guess we actually went in November, but close enough.) Anyway, in addition to seeing all the beautiful trees and wreaths there are fun games and crafts for the kids, Santa and even karaoke.

Searching for treasures in Mrs. Pockets' pockets.

A chip off the ol' block!

We also made a trip up to Seattle to see Santa, ride the carousel and have a nice lunch. I wasn't going to send out Christmas cards this year but we snapped a quick photo in Seattle and used that for our card. We lucked out that day with the weather. It was a bit chilly but at least it wasn't raining!

The Os fulfilling a life-long dream of parking on a rooftop.

This is the photo I chose for our Christmas card.

Linda, aka LaLa, and the boys.

I nearly picked this one for our card because it's just so... natural.

Good times on the carousel. It was Elliott's first time on a horse!

My left-handed kindergartner, Owen.

Writing letters to Santa.

Our Santa was SO sweet. He took time to talk to the boys individually.

The Os got to do their Winter Concert at school this year for the first time in the last three years. Snow closures caused the last two years' performances to be rescheduled until after Winter Break from school. It's a little anti-climactic when you return from the holidays and THEN have the holiday concert. I shot lots of photos for yearbook and got some pretty cute ones. Especially of my kids. ;o)

We are looking forward to having a little Christmas Eve party with our friends the Gills and our PNW family members -- which now includes cousin DeeDee! We're having a "Pizza Throwdown" between Brian and Genny. Brian will use the grill and Genny will use the oven. I am eagerly anticipating the fruits of their labor! Of course I will post results here on my blog.

Happy Holidays Everyone!
